Blurry vision is not
a life sentence, nor is it a sign that there is something fundamentally
'wrong' with our eyes. The blur is merely a signal to us that we
are straining our eyes and that it is time to make a subtle yet
significant change.
A century ago Ophthalmologist William H. Bates proved that the way we use our eyes determines
how clearly we see, and
by simply changing our strained vision habits into relaxed habits,
it is possible to improve eyesight.
The natural approach to
eyesight improvement has no negative side effects (actually it has many
beneficial side effects!) and it happens to be the cheapest solution.
Also, in my humble opinion, it gives the best results, (see the testimonials),
it just takes a little understanding, along with some patience and
persistence.
As the Bates method is relatively easy to learn and apply, it
makes sense to give it a try and check it out for yourself. The
most you risk losing is your blurry vision!
Although vision
improvement is often thought of as a method of eye-exercises, this is
far from Dr. Bates' original teachings. Yes, it still takes time
to learn the method and some patience to allow the eye muscles to relax
into seeing. Clear vision usually does not appear by magic.
And neither does it come from forcing your eyes to move around in all
directions of the clock for ten minutes every day...
If your vision is blurry,
your eye muscles
have probably been straining for some time and need to learn to let go of their
effort. Depending on the level of strain, this is easier for some
people than for others. If you have not yet worn glasses or
contacts you are likely to improve faster than those who have, yet we
all have the ability to improve our vision.
It comes down to a
choice in how you use your eyes all day long. That choice is open
to everyone. You too can start improving your vision as soon as
you become aware of the difference between straining to see and relaxing
to see.
The typical vision
challenges that the Bates method works well for are:
- Nearsightedness (Myopia)
- Farsightedness (Hyperopia)
- Astigmatism
- Crossed Eyes (Strabismus / Exophoria / Esophoria)
- "Old Age Sight" (Presbyopia / The need for reading glasses
after age 40)

have worn glasses or contacts, no matter what your age is, or how bad
your vision is now, applying the Bates method will take you on your

TO BLURRY VISION
The choice of Eyesight Deterioration:
1. It begins with Good
Eyesight.
2. At some point you experience
Visual Strain and/or Mental Stress.
3. Eye strain and tense eye muscles
cause changes in the shape of the eye.
4. This results in lowered
visual acuity.
5. You don't know what to
do about it, so you visit an optometrist or eye
doctor.
6. He or she measures the strain
in your eyes, and presumes
there is no way it will ever improve, so he prescribes
corrective lenses or stronger lenses.
7. You are told you will have
to get used to the lenses.
8. This results in more strained
vision habits,
so you return to item 2
above.
9. The result of this choice
is Poor Vision and a dependency on artificial lenses
to see.

9 STEPS TO CLEAR VISION
The choice of Eyesight Improvement:
1. It begins with Poor
Eyesight and often a dependency on artificial lenses to
see
2. But there is desire for
knowledge to improve vision.
3. You 'google' or research
Eyesight Improvement.
4. You learn Better Vision
Habits and use your lenses less or get a reduced prescription.
5. This reduces the visual
strain and/or mental stress.
6. Which allows the eye muscles
to relax and the eye will gradually regain its natural shape.
7. Your eyesight improves
and your old lenses are now too strong for you.
8. You continue better vision
habits,
so you return to item 4
above.
9. The result of this choice
is vision that gets better and better, resulting in an ability to see clearly with your own eyes again.

leading to
either deteriorated or improved vision.
